The Department of Child Development at Hitit University Faculty of Health Sciences held the “Orientation Week: Peer Mentoring and Welcome Program” for students starting the new academic year on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Faculty of Health Sciences Conference Hall. The event was planned to introduce the department’s culture, strengthen the peer support network, and help students quickly adapt to both academic and social life.
The program began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, followed by the opening speech of the Head of the Department of Child Development, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan BABAROĞLU. In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan BABAROĞLU highlighted the importance of the Child Development Department and its student-centered approach, wishing first-year students success in their studies.
Following the opening, Research Assistant Sevda POLAT provided information about the history, curriculum, and functioning of the Hitit University Child Development Department.
After the faculty and department introduction, Mahmut Kutlucan and Melike İnekçi, members of the Child Development Department Student Community, shared information about the community’s activities.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session.
